Developing countries like Southeast Asian ones are facing issues about the expansion of dioxin and other pollution on their coastal areas, additionally the level of pollution has already caught up with developed countries. This fact was revealed today (June 14) by Ehime University’s Coastal Environment Research Center referring to the result from researches on shellfish at Hong Kong, Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines’ universities.

This is the first time in Asia coastal areas for the investigation concerning the actual situation of dioxin pollution in wide scope. Electrical garbage, which developed countries such as Japan, US, and European nations exported to garbage disposal stations in developing countries, is considered as an important reason triggering pollution problem in developing countries become more serious.

An officer from the mentioned center also emphasized that “Absolutely, eating fish taken from polluted coasts is dangerous for the health.”

Comment:    I have heard this kind of information in my country before. It is very good news for me to know that developed countries like Japan has turned to pay attention to what they have done to those developing countries. We all should help solve the problem at its cause together for our world.
