Oita Godo Newspaper (evening edition on May 16, 2008)

On 16th, the incorporate of Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) acquired the care worker and nursing teacher from Indonesia. At the House of Councilors’ meeting, it was approved by a large number of agreed people about ethnocentrism, fairness, democracy and so on. Because it could get the national assembly’s effectively necessary approval, the governments considered that they wanted to start a concrete procedure soon and obtain it on July as well. Now, Indonesia government is continuing the final adjustment.

Both two countries, Japan and Indonesia, signed an agreement on July last year. They agreed with the outline but it indicated that Indonesia dissatisfied about nursing teacher’s treatment in these days. In the side of Japan, it continued a negotiation at Jakarta and intended to form a mutual agreement on 16th. Japan becomes start acquisition care workers who are foreign labors and standard nursing teachers from now.

Comment:    According to EPA, it is the important agreement associated with many countries. Also, this case is about care worker and nursing teacher in Indonesia and related to Japan and Indonesia signed agreement seeing that Japan will start to acquire many care workers and nursing teachers from now on. It is significant and interesting news one for me.
