“Help Sechuan!!!” APU Student’s donation activity

         In order to assist the victim from severe earthquake at Sechuan city in China, many Chinese students of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) at Beppu city assembled and began to do the donation activity on 15^th. 28 students formed an earthquake supported activity committee and called the contribution at the campus on that day.

       Robon, 21, 4^th year student, the leader committee from China’s Shanton city told that it was a voluntary activity and also he wanted to collect the donation fast in one day and send to homeland (China). Riye, 18 and Rafankan, 19, 1^st year student from Chontou of Sechuan asked their families and knew that they not only lacked of food and water but also, slept on a road and in a car. It was very anxious therefore, they sued to help them.

       522 Chinese students enroll in APU. The students came from Sechuan and Chongching city are totally 45 students. They said they could contact and confirm all the members of their families’ safety. This committee plans to do the donation activity in front of JR Beppu Station as well on both 17^th and 18^th.

Comment:    I was really shock as it was the huge natural catastrophe everyone did not know that whenever it occurred. It also destroyed asset immensely particularly human beings. It was the greatest loss of everybody. Not only Chinese government but also, every people should give a hand to many victims and carefully plan to prevent the next earthquake if it will happen.
