This coming Monday 14th of January is called “Adolescent Day” in Japanese. Of course girls, your everyday casual make-up-style may not suitable for this occasion. According to Kanebo Make-Up Center, Oita branch, elegant beauty is the most appropriate for Japanese traditional costume worn this day. Thus follow the explanation hereafter, you will know how to gain the fresh adolescent elegance!

Month Area: Trend is “fluffy and full of solid feeling lips.”

Stick type, gloss type, and liquid type of lipstick are all recommended. First, put on a stick-type lipstick (because the color can come out well) around your lips as an outline. After that, put on a liquid or gloss lipstick for making the perfect shine and shade. In the case if you want to add more solid feeling, put on the lipstick again, this time fully in the middle of the lips and apply it over.

Highlight: To express the whole face’s solid feeling, using white color or other bright-color make up is an excellent technique. It helps enhance the transparent sense and make your face look slender.

Apply them from the center of your forehead connected to the space between eyebrows and along the nose edge, then also on the up-side-down triangle area under the eyes in order to hide dark circles and make it look brighter. Next, under the eyebrows (not invade eyelid area), put on a light-color eye shadow for enrichment of fresh feeling. Do not forget to draw a straight slight line from the middle of the cheeks, along the triangle edges, up to the temples, resulting in the impression of good-structure face.

Eye Area: Finally create a gradual solid feeling by using 3-4 eye shadow colors.

(1)   Apply the brightest color over the center of the eyelids and area around.

(2)   Apply the medium color with a shiny feeling from outer canthi of the eyes to the center area.

(3)   On the eyelids near the edges of eyelashes, draw a line along with the darkest color ended with a very thin tip. This is deemed as an accent part.

(4)   For the lower rim of the eyes, also draw a line but draw the medium shining color on the first half (from the inner canthi to the middle) and the dark color on the rest half.

That is completely finished.

Go attend the adolescent ceremony with 100% confidence!!

I am also looking forward to participating in the ceremony (Seijin Shiki) held by Beppu City on this coming Sunday with two of my friends. We all are also thinking to try this new, interesting, elegant style.
